The Amazing Spider-Man game brings you through all different situations and challenges from the movie. The game from Activision brings back a lot of the actions that come from the previous Spider-Man video games. For example, when you web swing, the camera zooms in – they took that action from Spiderman 2. The latest version has new actions that didn’t come from the other games and some actions have been perked up. These include:
1. The ability to web shoot quicker
2. You can run up an entire building instead of a small portion of one
3. You can do a stealth takedown from above
Like any other game based on a movie, they change the storyline to make it more interesting and more exciting. In the movie there was a toxin that turned people into lizards, while in the game there is no toxin and only one evil lizard.
I give The Amazing Spiderman a rating of 9 (out of 10). It was not worthy of a 10 for one reason – the game went off topic with missions that would help you get upgrades while you could of beat the game already.
I recommend this game for everyone over the age of 8.
