High-Tech Texan Holiday Gift Guide – Day 5

MAG COVER3Companies keep coming out with tablets and smartphones and they expect us to carry and use them all the time.  I have reviewed so many device cases and holders that they all seem to look and do the same thing.  A few of the newer models of protective cases also do double-duty by propping the device up for easier viewing and use.  But if you want to go one step further, take a look at the products from ZeroChroma that do triple-duty.

With the tag line of “change your point of view,” ZeroChroma cases for the iPad, iPhone, Kindle and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 do indeed protect the device while allowing you use them in lap, table and angle modes.  The cases have an ingenius rotating theater-stand that folds flat.   Some of the rotating stands rotate up to 15 different angles for hands-free movies, FaceTime, gaming, email, and everything else you do on your gadgets.

Have you ever watched a movie on your iPad or iPhone and had to hold it in your hands for two hours?  No more.  This was the first thing I thought of when I slipped my Galaxy Tab 7 in its ZeroChroma case.  Finally…hands-free viewing.  Each case has an anti-slip rubber edge and stand tip to prevent slipping even if the surface isn’t level.

The cases vary from about $25-50 depending on which device you want to wrap inside it.  Colors are pretty standard with black and white though the iPhone 4S case also comes in hot pink.

If you plan to give someone a tablet or a smartphone this season, you may want to include a ZeroChroma case in as a stocking stuffer.  ZeroChroma iPhone Teatro S QuadView22
