6 days in Las Vegas. 10 hours of live radio from the show floor. 800 hands shaken (at least). Hundreds of photos (mostly of me but we did sneak in some cool products). 4 hours of live satellite TV feeds. 14 Advil. A liter of bourbon (eh, maybe a bit more). 73 miles walked (so it felt like).

Houston, January 16, 2013 – Texas-based radio host and media personality Michael Garfield, known to millions of listeners and viewers as The High-Tech Texan®, completed a weeklong series of radio broadcast from the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, January 7-12, 2013. This was his 10th consecutive year of having a presence at the world’s biggest technology expo.
“The High-Tech Texan® Show with Michael Garfield” is heard across the U.S. on the Clear Channel Media + Entertainment radio network and around the world on the iHeartRadio app and website.
Garfield hosted his shows from a custom-built studio on the trade show floor of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Throughout the week he introduced and interviewed representatives from over 40 companies. Executives from HP, RCA, Reliant Energy, Western Digital, Dish Network, Garmin and others sat down with Garfield to debut and discuss their products.
In addition to his daily two-hour show, he also hosted live and recorded satellite TV feeds to eight cities across the country. Garfield showcased several products making their debut at CES including a smartwatch, touchscreen laptop, wireless Dolby headphones, gaming tablets, 3D printers and Ultra HD TV.
According to preliminary Arbitron and Neilsen Company data from individual markets reached by Garfield that week, just over 4 million listeners and viewers heard and watched his broadcasts.
